Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for talented individuals to join our team! We offer a team-oriented environment with military personnel, civilian employees, contractors, and volunteers working together to ensure smooth and effective operations.
What are we looking for?
GSE02 (ENTRY LEVEL): Be 18 years or older, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and have the ability to speak, read, and write English. Must be able to follow instructions and communicate effectively. Capable of lifting and carrying children and objects up to 45 lbs independently, and over 45 lbs with assistance. May require obtaining a government driver's license to operate a government vehicle, including transporting children.
GSE03 (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL): In addition to GSE02 qualifications, candidates must have six months experience in a USMC or other military service childcare or youth program. Completion of DoD-approved competency training courses is required and must be documented.
Alternatively, six months experience in a childcare or youth program plus nine semester hours of college courses related to the age group, or a one-year vocational certificate in childcare or equivalent, meets the educational requirements.
GSE04 (TARGET LEVEL): In addition to GSE02 requirements, candidates must have 18 months experience in a USMC or other military childcare or youth program, with completion of DoD-approved training. Entry and Intermediate Level Training must be completed and documented.
Alternatively, 18 months experience plus a nationally recognized Youth Development Credential, or an associate or bachelor's degree with relevant coursework, qualifies the candidate.
All applicants must be able to obtain and maintain TIER-I Childcare (CNACI) background checks, pass physicals, provide immunization evidence, and be free of communicable diseases. Completion of all DoD training requirements and current CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory.
Note: This position is a Test Designated Position (TDP), subject to random drug testing. A positive test or refusal to test may result in removal from the position.
