Job summary

Auberle in McKeesport, PA, seeks a SNAP Child Worker to lead Stop Now And Plan groups for children aged 6–11, aiming to teach emotional regulation and de-escalation techniques.

You will handle case management, collaborate with families and schools, recruit families through outreach, and create engaging projects supporting youth development, with travel to trainings at Main Campus as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice or related field.
• Act 33/34 and FBI clearances required.
• Valid PA driver’s license, vehicle, registration and proof of insurance.
• Experience with children ages 6-11 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating groups per the Stop-Now-And-Plan curriculum.
• Teaching strategies for emotion regulation, anger management and de-escalation.
• Caseload management and building therapeutic relationships with school-aged youth.
• Recruiting families via community outreach.
• Designing and delivering creative projects to foster youth development.
• Travel to trainings, meetings and events at Main Campus McKeesport as scheduled.

The program is offered for families with children ages 6-11 exhibiting externalizing behaviors.Position Title and Overview: SNAP Child WorkerFacilitating groups according to the Stop-Now-And-Plan curriculum; teaching strategies for emotional regulation, anger management, and de-escalation; addressing problematic behaviors in a constructive wayCase management, focused on building a therapeutic relationship with school-aged youthCommunicating and collaborating with families, schools, and community organizations to develop effective strategies for behavior managementRecruiting families via community outreachDesigning, preparing, and delivering creative projects that foster youth developmentLocation and Travel Requirements:This position is primarily located in McKeesport.
