Job summary

DCCCA in Mission, Kansas is seeking a licensed master’s level clinician to provide home-based therapy and crisis support. The role requires a Master’s in human services or related field and state licensure, with at least two years of child welfare or family services experience.

A valid driver's license and background checks are required. The position involves initial assessments, treatment planning, and delivering individual, family, and/or group counseling.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master's degree in human services or related field.
• Requires 2 years of child welfare and/or family services experience.
• Requires licensure by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board at the master's level. Clinical licensure is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment background checks, reference checks, fingerprinting and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Responds promptly to crisis situations and documents critical incidents for clients.
• Requires a minimum of 60 hours in home therapy per month.
• Provides crisis/on call services and 24/7 support to assigned clients.
• Facilitates an initial meeting with the client and referral source within required time frames.
• Conducts initial comprehensive assessments including mental status exams and diagnoses per DSM.
• Develops treatment plan goals and objectives with the client.
• Provides individual, family and/or group counseling as appropriate.
• Acts as client advocate and liaison with community services.
• Monitors progress and updates treatment plans using established tools.
• Maintains client case records in the electronic medical record.
• Completes discharge summaries and aftercare contacts per agency policy.
• Provides written and verbal progress reports to referring entities.
• Collaborates with program staff to ensure seamless services.
• Participates in regular clinical supervision.
• Travel to home-based therapy may require regular driving to various locations.

Education

Master's degree in human services or related field

BSRB licensure at the master’s level (clinical licensure preferred)

• Provides individual, family and/or group counseling as appropriate to client need
• Functions as a client advocate and liaison with other community services
