Job summary

The Chesterfield-Colonial Heights Department of Social Services is hiring a Family Services Aide to support the family services staff in child welfare and Child Protective Services. You will transcribe interviews, assist with record handling, and accompany home visits and court hearings as needed.

Responsibilities include contacting collateral individuals, entering data into computer systems, and providing transportation in county vehicles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with relevant coursework or equivalent experience in public admin support.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and evaluating service quality.
• Familiarity with local/state/federal social programs and eligibility.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist CPS in investigations; transcribe interviews and organize records.
• Conduct home visits, attend court hearings, and supervise visits.
• Enter information into computer systems and document case activities.
