Zusammenfassung

Seamen’s Society for Children and Families is seeking a dedicated Supervisor to lead the Enhanced Family Foster Care case planning unit in New York. You will provide social work guidance, coordinate a 4-person Case Planner team plus a Parent Advocate, and supervise daily operations to deliver high-quality services to families.

Based in our Brooklyn/Staten Island locations, you will oversee staff schedules, ensure timely case notes, reports, and reunification planning, and participate in QA/QI

Qualifikationen

• MSW or related degree with supervisory experience in child welfare required.
• LMSW preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Travel between Staten Island and Brooklyn may be necessary.

Aufgaben

• Provides weekly supervision to a core team of 4 Case Planners and 1 Parent Advocate.
• Facilitates the Family Case Plan with input from the family and staff.
• Collaborates with supporting departments to match services to family needs.
• Manages staff work hours and PTO within coverage needs.
• Reviews family permanency plans for safe, timely reunifications.
• Intervenes on high‑risk cases and provides case coverage when needed.
• Participates in QA/QI meetings, Safety and Permanency reviews, and related meetings.
• Ensures timely, quality case notes and reports (FASPs, court reports).
• Prepares staff for court proceedings and family team conferences.
• Schedules and conducts Family Team, Placement Preservation, and other conferences.
