Job summary

County of San Mateo's Human Services Agency seeks a qualified Child Welfare Program Analyst (Human Services Analyst II) to join the Children and Family Services branch. The CWPA will report to the CFS Administrative and Program Support Services Manager and support Child Welfare System Strategies and Contracted Services.

The CWPA provides analytical, administrative, and project support for programs within CFS.

Qualifications

• Must show analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage projects and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience in public administration or child welfare is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop grants and contracts with state and other funding sources.
• Draft RFPs, evaluate proposals, and negotiate contracts.
• Provide technical programmatic and fiscal assistance to staff.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and budgets.
• Develop and monitor program budgets and funding strategies.
• Represent programs at meetings and liaise with state agencies.
• Analyze legislation and implement policies.
• Train staff and provide technical assistance.
• Write reports and grant proposals.
• Coordinate events and maintain records.
