Job summary

DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES in Nevada is seeking a Casework Management Specialist 1 in the Carson City Child Welfare office. The role supports safety, permanency, and well‑being through family‑centered case management, home visits, and collaboration with courts and providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a social science or related field.
• Two years of professional experience providing casework services to clients.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and implement case plans and safety plans for clients and families.
• Conduct home visits to assess needs and provide intervention strategies.
• Coordinate services with outside agencies and care providers.
• Advise clients on rights and responsibilities and document case activities.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to promote safety, permanency, and well‑being.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and prepare reports for courts and agencies.
