Job summary

The State of Nevada’s Division of Child and Family Services is seeking a Casework Management Specialist 1 underfilling Casework Management Specialist 3 in the Carson City Child Welfare office. You will learn to determine social service needs, develop case plans, and provide ongoing case management for children and families, including home visits and coordination with services.

Under supervision, you will advance to the next level after meeting minimum qualifications and performance standards,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related social science or human services field.
• Under supervision, learn to determine social service needs and develop case plans.
• Maintain case records and report preparation as part of the duties.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and implement case plans and safety plans by interviewing clients, families, collaterals, court stakeholders and care providers.
• Monitor client and family progress; coordinate and evaluate services with outside agencies and resources.
• Conduct assessments and home visits using motivational interviewing; prepare court reports and review billing forms for accuracy.
• Adhere to regulatory standards for documentation; participate in multidisciplinary teams and meetings to discuss client issues.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
