Job summary

Thompson Child & Family Focus, Inc. in Nashville, TN is seeking a Case Manager to provide dependency case management for high-need youth in out-of-home care and to engage kin and fictive kin adults to increase protective capacities and stable homes.

The role involves crisis management, linking families to services, writing court reports, and occasional court testimony, with substantial face-to-face engagement in the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience equivalent to one (1) year of full-time professional work providing child welfare services including social, psychological, or correctional counseling or case management.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must pass a drug screen and all required background checks including fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

What will you do as a Case Manager?

• As a Case Manager, you will provide dependency case management services to families whom have verified abuse history and an open dependency case. This consists of providing services/linkage/coordination care of high need youth in out of home care and engaging kin and fictive kin adults to increase protective capacities and ultimately provide a stable safe home for the youth served.
• A typical day as a Case Manager will include managing crisis, linking youth/caregivers to service providers, writing court reports, testifying in court, and completing face to face engagement with youth/family in the community. As a Case Manager, a large amount of time is spent face to face with high need teenagers, work hours vary based on client need, and includes an on-call schedule for after hour coverage (nights/weekends).

What does this position offer?

Starting Pay Ranges:

$19.50 - $23.50 based on education and experience level

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• Experience equivalent to one (1) year of full-time professional work providing child welfare services including, but not limited to, one or a combination of the following: social, psychological, or correctional counseling or case management; volunteer services coordination for a children's service program; and/or juvenile classification coordination.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must pass a drug screen and all required background checks including but not limited to fingerprinting
