Thompson in Memphis, TN is seeking a Case Manager to deliver dependency case management services to families with verified abuse histories and open dependency cases, coordinating care for high-need youth and engaging kin to build protective capacities.

This role involves crisis management, connecting youth and caregivers with services, writing court reports, testifying, and in-person engagement with families, with on-call coverage as needed. A Bachelor’s degree is required.

• Experience in child welfare services or related fields is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass background checks.

What will you do as a Case Manager?

• As a Case Manager, you will provide dependency case management services to families whom have verified abuse history and an open dependency case. This consists of providing services/linkage/coordination care of high need youth in out of home care and engaging kin and fictive kin adults to increase protective capacities and ultimately provide a stable safe home for the youth served.
• A typical day as a Case Manager will include managing crisis, linking youth/caregivers to service providers, writing court reports, testifying in court, and completing face to face engagement with youth/family in the community. As a Case Manager, a large amount of time is spent face to face with high need teenagers, work hours vary based on client need, and includes an on-call schedule for after hour coverage (nights/weekends).

What does this position offer?

Starting Pay Ranges:

$19.50 - $23.50 based on education and experience level

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• Experience equivalent to one (1) year of full-time professional work providing child welfare services including, but not limited to, one or a combination of the following: social, psychological, or correctional counseling or case management; volunteer services coordination for a children's service program; and/or juvenile classification coordination.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must pass a drug screen and all required background checks including but not limited to fingerprinting
