Job summary

Pitt County Government in North Carolina seeks an attorney to represent the Department in Child Protective Services actions and ensure the legal needs of the program are met.

You will coordinate legal training for child welfare workers and provide guidance on releasing information to other agencies. The role includes assisting in Child Support and Adult Services matters as requested and supporting appellate Child Welfare cases.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized law school.
• At least one year of professional legal experience.
• License to practice law in North Carolina.
• Valid North Carolina driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Department in Child Protective Services actions.
• Coordinate legal training for child welfare workers.
• Provide guidance on releasing legal information to other agencies.
• Assist in Child Support and Adult Services matters as needed.
