Qualifications

• Six months of general office clerical work, providing care for children in a licensed day care facility, sales, or public contact work; or six months of technical or vocational training or 15 semester hours from college.

Responsibilities

• Position provides administrative and programmatic support to Child Welfare Specialists (CWS), and may perform lower level paraprofessional Child Welfare tasks.
• Performs administrative support tasks and other related duties to include general office duties, inputting case documentation, compiling social and economic data, scheduling and assisting in meetings with clients, parents, and other interested parties.
• Assist the Child Welfare Specialists in the documentation and processing of reports received at the Hotline in the Child Abuse and Neglect Information System (KIDS)
• Advises callers of available child welfare services and resources; provides specific program information to clients and may refer to community resources for assistance.
