Forsyth County Department of Social Services is seeking a highly motivated person with great organizational, communication, and management skills as a Child Support Supervisor for our Child Support Services Division.
An employee in this class is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the program. Works includes administrative and technical supervision of the agents. Employees may be involved with some direct establishment or enforcement work on the more difficult or controversial cases, but the majority of the duties are supervisory and administrative. Work is performed under general supervision and is evaluated by review of work and by overall program effectiveness. The position also involves frequent interaction with legal and judicial professionals, employers, county and state employees, as well as the general public.
Graduation from high school or GED plus four years of experience in investigative, judiciary, eligibility, attorney's office or related work which includes one year of Child Support Enforcement experience.
A higher education level may be considered as a substitution for all or part of the experience requirement.
Valid driver's license required to travel to and from the courthouse.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
This position calls for daily use of and training on the use of the Automated Collection and Tracking System (ACTS), which is an online case management system, Laserfiche (document management system), and the eCourts Portal and eFile North Carolina systems to access and file court records.
Effective typing and data entry skills are a must.
