Job summary

Arizona Department of Child Safety is hiring Case Manager/Child Safety Specialists across Avondale, Glendale, Peoria, and Phoenix. This full-time on-site role responds to allegations, interviews families, coordinates services, and supports placement decisions.

You'll travel in the community, attend court, and develop case plans with a team. A 22‑week training program precedes progression pay steps and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree or 4 years as an AZ DCS Case Aide.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance.
• Work history and records will be considered.
• Complete 22 weeks of training in person (classroom + field).

Responsibilities

• Respond to allegations of child abuse or neglect.
• Conduct interviews and assess child safety.
• Work with families in homes and the community.
• Coordinate services and develop case plans.
• Attend court hearings and prepare reports.
• Transport children and support placement needs.
• Manage cases across the assigned region.
• Collaborate with courts, providers, and partner agencies.
