Wake County Department of Social Services in North Carolina is seeking a qualified social service professional to join our Child Welfare team. The role involves coordinating intake, ensuring timely documentation, monitoring risk levels, and guiding staff through policy and case decisions to support families and children.
You'll participate in weekly meetings, provide training, and help visit families across assigned locations.
Wake County Child Welfare currently serves over 700 children in our foster care system.
The acceptable candidate must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive to various locations to visit families and maintain appointments.

In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.
