Job summary

Alamosa County Department of Human Services is seeking a Caseworker to provide intake and ongoing social casework for families where child abuse or neglect is present or suspected, and for youth in conflict. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field required.
• 1 year of professional social casework preferred.
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License required.
• Completion of Child Welfare Caseworker Academy within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments for alleged abuse/neglect and coordinate placement.
• Develop care plans and monitor client progress.
• Attend court hearings and prepare court reports.
• Engage families and coordinate with community resources.
• Maintain client records and required forms.
