El Paso County in Colorado Springs seeks a seasoned child welfare professional to join the Institutional Abuse Review Team, conducting investigations in licensed and institutional settings and performing traditional child welfare assessments.

You will interview children and families, collaborate with licensing and community partners, and synthesize information to decide on safety and permanency outcomes. Hybrid work may be available after evaluation.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or higher in social work or related field.
• 1 year of professional, internship, or volunteer work in a human service-related agency.
• Successful completion of a Bachelor's or MSW internship may substitute for required experience.

Responsabilidades

• Interviews clients, develops treatment plans, initiates home studies, and provides intensive casework services to families and children.
• Monitors and reports clients' progress; ensures services are provided and evaluates placement needs.
• Addresses child safety in the home and ensures interventions for children in care are delivered.
• Provides crisis management and coordinates support services for clients.
• Acts as a liaison for DHS and collaborates with other professionals on case situations.
• Attends meetings and prepares documentation and reports for court hearings.
• Provides transportation for clients to appointments and court appearances.
• Ensures compliance with laws, policies, and departmental guidelines; supports CYFS teams.
