Job summary

Broken Arrow Public Schools seeks a Child Nutrition Specialist to oversee district nutrition programs within the Child Nutrition Department. You will coordinate menu planning, nutrition education and compliance with health regulations while supervising staff.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field, with RD/Licensed Dietitian preferred, and at least four years of experience in school nutrition or public food service.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accreditation statements and monitor freezer/cooler temperatures.
  • Order groceries as needed and oversee summer feeding.
  • Update SOPs and state reports; attend manager meetings.
  • Maintain nutrition information in Mosaic Menu Planner and support staff development.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: MinimumofBachelor'sdegreeinNutrition/Dietetics,Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related fields. Registered and Licensed Dietitian preferred

Experience: Minimum of four years progressively more responsible work experience in nutrition/food service required.Public school or federal food service program experience preferred.

Skills: Demonstrate supervisory ability, excellent organizational and communication skills, knowledge of food preparation and department of health regulations.
