Job summary

Robstown ISD in Robstown, TX is seeking a Child Nutrition Assistant Manager - Elementary to support the cafeteria manager in supervising campus food service operations.

You will help ensure the proper quantities of food are prepared and served, meet time constraints of school menus, and ensure compliance with health codes. You will train staff, schedule personnel, and support daily meal service operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Food Handlers Certification.
• Complete the ServSafe Manager Certification or Texas Food Safety Manager Certification during the first year as an assistant manager.
• Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and appliances used in food preparation.
• Ability to manage personnel and organize personnel schedule.
• Must have effective planning and organizational skills.
• Must have at least three years' experience in institutional food service operations; computer and cashiering knowledge.

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for assisting the cafeteria manager in the supervision, training and management of the campus food service operation. Help manager ensure that appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served. Meet time constraints set by the school menu requirements established by the Child Nutrition Office, which are required by TDA Regulations; and must meet health codes promulgated by city and state agencies.
