**Responsibilities**
Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide social, emotional, and developmental support during pediatric patients' illnesses and hospital stays.
+ Create a caring and secure environment for patients and their families in pediatrics.
+ Work with the healthcare team to plan appropriate interventions.
+ Develop and participate in outreach and educational activities to inform families, staff, and the community about issues and services related to ill and hospitalized children.
+ Maintain ongoing professional development through education.
**Requirements**
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ Child Life Professional certification obtained within 12 months of hire or transfer date required.
Education:
+ Bachelor's degree required.
**Additional Preferences**
+ Bilingual skills preferred.
+ Comfortable with dogs.
+ Certification must be obtained within the first year of hire.
