Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking a Child Life Assistant to join our team on a PRN schedule. The role includes supervising playroom and teen lounge activities, coordinating events, and ensuring safety for patients and families during events.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and <2 years of experience, with no supervisor experience required. Join a team committed to pediatric care and family-centered services at our St. Louis facility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carries out the playroom and teen area activities as assigned, including plans and implements group activities and assists in coordinating special events.
• Responsible for the daily safety and security of all patients and visitors and during special events by ensuring safety/security policies are followed.
• Oversees the daily roles and responsibilities of volunteers in the CL areas and during special events by directing them to priority patients and guiding their work.
• Maintains an orderly and safe environment for all patients and families by overseeing and participating in the daily cleaning and maintenance of CL areas.
