Job summary

Butterfly Effects is hiring part-time Registered Behavior Technicians to support children with autism in ABA-based interventions. You will implement plans under a BCBA, collect data, and help with communication and daily living skills.

The role offers an hourly pay range of $21.00–$28.00, with Monday–Friday 3–7pm availability, and opportunities for training and advancement toward BCBA certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• RBT certification is preferred or encouraged.

• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA.
• Observes and reports client progress and behavior daily.
• Manages challenging behaviors and applies ABA principles.
• Assists clients to acquire academic and life skills as needed.
• Communicates professionally with parents, analysts, trainers, and clients.
• Completes daily paperwork and data entry in the online system.

What Do You Bring to the Role?

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Registered Behavior Technician Certification if already obtained.

• Experience: Prior experience with children is advantageous.

What Would You Be Doing?

• Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
• Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
• Manages challenging behaviors.
• Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
• Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
• Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
• Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
• Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
• Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of client information.
• Follows BE policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

This role involves working in natural environments, occasionally requiring lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. and maintaining various postures for extended periods.
