Job summary

Butterfly Effects is seeking a Child Interventionist, Behavior Technician or RBT to support children with autism. This part-time role runs M-F 4:30-7:30pm, delivering ABA under a BCBA's guidance and documenting progress in our system.

You will work with families, apply behavioral strategies, and contribute to meaningful improvements in daily skills. A background in childcare and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: RBT certification if already obtained.
• Passion for children and genuine care for families.
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with children is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and grow professionally.
• Reliable transportation.
• Criminal background check clearance.

Responsibilities

• Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA.
• Observes and reports client progress and daily behaviors.
• Manages challenging behaviors with behavioral principles.
• Assists clients to acquire academic and life skills as needed.
• Communicates professionally with parents, analysts, trainers and clients.
• Acts as an active member of the treatment team.
• Completes daily paperwork and data entries in the online system.
• Participates in ongoing training to improve skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of client information.

What Would You Be Doing?

• Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
• Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
• Manages challenging behaviors.
• Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
• Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
• Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
• Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
• Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
• Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of client information.
• Follows BE policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

• This role involves working in natural environments, occasionally requiring lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. and maintaining various postures for extended periods.
