TaraVista in Devens, MA seeks a Mental Health Counselor to join the inpatient child psychiatry team on a 32-hour nightly schedule (11:00pm–7:30am), including every other weekend and holiday rotation. You’ll provide direct care, support families, and maintain a safe therapeutic milieu on the unit.

You will conduct rounds, aid with treatment plans, monitor progress, and document in the EMR while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred in psychology or human services.
• Experience as PCT/PCA, CNA, or Medical Assistant required.
• Strong oral and written communication; professional boundaries with patients.
• Prior psychiatric inpatient, restraint reduction, de-escalation, and crisis intervention preferred.

Responsabilités

• Conduct patient observation and rounds.
• Assist staff with patient care following treatment plans.
• Observe and report patient progress to staff.
• Develop therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living as needed.
• Provide supervision of patients’ activities and safety monitoring.
• Process admissions belongings and complete EMR documentation.
• Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team.
