Job summary

Advomas, Inc. is seeking a Child Health Benefits Coordinator to oversee day-to-day delivery of services identifying and assisting referred health plan members with securing CSHCS coverage and SSD/SSI benefits.

You will coordinate gathering documents, authorizations, outreach to members and providers, application support, case monitoring, approvals, closures, and reporting, while ensuring HIPAA privacy and secure handling of information.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5+ years in healthcare eligibility, Medicaid enrollment, case management or similar.
• Experience in specialty care preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicaid eligibility and CSHCS processes.

Our specialized Health Plan Services division works directly with high‑need member populations—like adults or children navigating End‑Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) or other disabling conditions to ensure seamless entitlement transitions and protecting member care continuity while optimizing plan resources.

Role Description

The Child Health Benefits Coordinator oversees day-to-day delivery of services that identify and assist referred health plan members with securing Children’s Special Health Care Services (CSHCS) coverage and, when appropriate, Social Security Disability (SSD) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits. This role coordinates gathering required documents and authorizations, member and provider outreach, application support, case monitoring, approvals, closures, and reporting while ensuring secure handling of protected health information and consistent service to health plan clients.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED, 3–5+ years in healthcare eligibility, Medicaid enrollment, case management or similar. Specific experience in specialty care is preferred.
• Program Knowledge: Working knowledge of Medicaid eligibility, CSHCS processes. Familiarity with local health departments and MDHHS procedures is strongly preferred.
• Communication & Empathy: Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills to support vulnerable members navigating complex healthcare transitions. Strong written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with members, providers, government agencies, and internal partners.
