Job summary

Avow Hospice in Naples, FL is seeking a licensed social worker to provide grief and bereavement support for children of hospice families and the community.

The role includes planning and delivering workshops, counseling children and families, maintaining records in the EMR, and collaborating with schools and community agencies. Requires a Master’s in Social Work and an LCSW or intern eligibility in Florida.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university is required.
• Fluency in English; bilingual or trilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the bereavement needs of children and develop programs to meet the needs.
• Plan, promote, conduct and evaluate grief workshops in Collier County Schools.
• Provide individual/group grief counseling to children and families as needed.
• Maintain bereavement records and documentation in the EMR and Avow files.
• Educate staff and community on children’s grief issues.
• Participate in planning and implementing children’s camps including day and overnight camps.
