Job summary

Grow Early Learning Corp in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Health Specialist to join our Regional Team. You will coordinate health and safety training, monitor records, and work with Head Start partners to address health needs for children and families.

A Master in Public Health is preferred; a Bachelor in Public Health is acceptable with several years of experience. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus. Travel across rural areas is required.

Qualifications

• Master in Public Health or related field preferred.
• Five years working with children and families in the field related to degree (Bachelor acceptable).
• Head Start experience preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide training and technical assistance for child and family health, safety services at Head Start Centers.
• Review, and monitor health records and data entry for accuracy.
• Collaborate with Head Start partners statewide on health issues (including exams, immunizations, dental, mental, and nutrition).
• Work with staff to ensure pre- and post-operational health and safety checks/procedures are completed as required.
• Travel frequently in rural areas in/out of the state.
