Job summary

Positive Development is hiring a Child Development Specialist for a part-time, in-home/center-based role in North Charleston, SC and surrounding areas. You’ll coach autistic children to build communication, social, and daily living skills through play-based interactions, with guidance from experienced clinicians.

We offer paid new-hire training, ongoing coaching, flexible after-school hours, and a $22–$28/hour direct pay plus $20/hour admin pay.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Excellent communication with families and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Build communication, social, and daily living skills through play.
• Create meaningful connections to engage children.
• Follow a relationship-based intervention model.
• Track progress with session notes and goals.
• Collaborate with clinicians to build clinical skills.
