Job summary

Envision is seeking a hands-on kitchen assistant to prepare and serve daily meals for children at the Farmers Branch Child Development Center. You will assist in classrooms as needed and help maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.

The role supports CACFP requirements, collaborates with the Center Administrator, and ensures safe food handling while promoting a positive learning atmosphere.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Experience in production or commercial cooking preferred.
• Knowledge of CACFP requirements and documentation is a plus.
• Current food handler’s certification preferred; CPR/First Aid within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children.
• Follow CACFP guidelines and Envision policies for food service.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment and proper storage.
• Assist with planning menus and purchasing food and supplies.
• Support classroom staff and ensure required staff-to-child ratios.
