Northwest Alabama Mental Health Center is seeking a Child Day Treatment Coordinator in Alabama to oversee the day treatment program, supervise staff and provide counseling and family support. The role requires a master’s degree in a mental health field and experience with children, plus a valid driver’s license and strong computer skills.
A $5,000 retention bonus is offered, with benefits included and a 5-day orientation in Marion County.
*$5,000 RETENTION BONUS* The employee will receive half after completing 6 months of employment and the remaining half after 1 year of employment.
The Child Day Treatment Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a viable program, coordinating the program, and providing a wide array of services, including the daily supervision of assigned staff. This position is also responsible for counseling individuals or groups, developing and implementing a therapeutic treatment plan, and providing family support and education. The children who participate in this program are enrolled for counseling and treatment for behavioral issues. This position will be discussed in more depth during the interview.
Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m. with some flexibility. There will be times when the director may need to respond to situations outside of normal hours. This will be discussed in more detail at the interview.
