Catholic Charities Washtenaw County is seeking a full-time crisis counselor therapist for the Washtenaw County Child Advocacy Center. The role focuses on crisis intervention, counseling, and referrals to support children and families affected by child abuse.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s degree in Social Work or related field and have two years’ experience in trauma-informed therapy or child abuse settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justice or related field, plus two years’ experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and short-term support to child sexual abuse victims and non-offending family members.
• Conduct individual crisis counseling or intervention sessions with children and caregivers after forensic interviews.
• Clinically assess immediate emotional, psychological, and physical needs and provide referrals.
• Create and maintain educational materials and referral resources for children and families.
• Provide follow-up services.
