Job summary

Monarch Healthcare in Concord, NC is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist for Child Crisis Services II. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, serving children and adolescents with mental health needs in a PRTF setting.

The ideal candidate is an LCSW with a Master's in Human Services and at least 1 year working with youth and families. You will provide therapy, crisis intervention, and coordinate care as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Human Services is required.
• Fully licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state.
• Minimum one year of experience with youth and families with mental health diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment and facilitate linkage to community after discharge.
• Participate in team meetings, person-centered planning and discharge planning as appropriate for all individuals served.
• Serve as a resource for non-licensed staff by assisting with in-service training and supports to educate PRTF staff in mental health.
• Complete clinical assessments and reassessments as needed and assign accurate diagnoses to guide treatment.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy using person-centered approaches and best practices.
• Provide expertise in assessing psychiatric crises and crisis intervention with PRTF staff.
• Maintain medical records in compliance with state, federal, and agency guidelines.
• Assist individuals and families in meeting psychosocial needs by referrals and confidentiality adherence.
• Provide crisis assessments, stabilization, and service coordination to de-escalate crises.
• Maintain licensure and attend trainings to stay current with best practices.
• Build positive relationships within communities served and with agencies and stakeholders.
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities and clinical consultation when requested.
• Travel to community locations and outreach destinations as assigned.
