Job summary

Kelloggsville Public Schools’ Kelloggsville Early Childhood Learning Center in Wyoming, Michigan is seeking a Part-Time Child Care Worker to provide high quality childcare supporting both individual and group needs. This role emphasizes safety, positive interaction, and inclusive, culturally competent care.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, be CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain, and show flexibility with hours.

• Bilingual preferred.
• Flexibility with scheduled hours.
• Child Development Accreditation certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working with or caring for children and ability to work in a diverse environment.
• First Aid/CPR certified or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to relate to young children in positive and constructive ways.
• Ability to assist with personal care, grooming and medical needs of students.
• Good attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community.
• Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior, and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others.
• Ability to establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff, students, and patrons of the District.
• Ability to recognize that each person is a unique individual even as we celebrate their group cultural heritage.
