Title:Child Care Worker
Location: Outpatient Expansion - 355 NW Division St., Gresham, OR 97030
Schedule:This is an in person position; Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Occasional weekends and evenings required.

Wage:$20.90 hourly, Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

The Child Care Worker is responsible for providing care and supervision for children whose parents areparticipating in NARA’s services and special events.

What you will do:

  • Provide education and recreational activities for children.
  • Notify counselor of children’s progress or problems regarding childcare.
  • Keep daily log of pertinent events in childcare.
  • Know and practice child safety policies and procedures in manual.
  • Assures the safety of children and maintain asafe environment.
  • Prepare and serve snacks to children.
  • Attend staff meetings as assigned.
Qualifications

We would like to hear from people that have:

  • Either a High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certification required.
  • Two years' experience in field of childcare relevant to duties and responsibilities noted above
  • A driver's license with a clean driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
  • Minimum of two years sobriety/clean time, if in recovery
  • Ability to pass background investigation for all potential hires in order to determine any past history of sexual and child
    abuse
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and for cause drug screens, criminal background, and DMV checks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs frequently during the shift.
  • Position requires; standing walking, climbing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, repetitive motion is a requirement of daily job duties.
  • Exposed to cold and hot environments both inside and outside of facilities.
  • May be exposed to hazardous chemicals for light cleaning.
