BrightPath Kids in Storrs, CT is seeking a Lead Teacher to work alongside teachers and families, providing a home-away-from-home for children from 6 weeks to 12 years, in accordance with NAEYC guidelines.

You will design developmentally appropriate curriculum, partner with families on plans for each child, maintain a warm, safe, and organized classroom, and communicate effectively with parents about their child’s progress.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or CDA, Head Teacher, 12 credits in ECE) or Bachelor's degree.
• 2+ years of experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

What will you be doing?

As a Lead Teacher, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to NAEYC guidelines. Responsibilities include:

Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential OR Head Teacher certification OR 12 credits in Early Childhood Education courses OR Bachelor's Degree required
• 2+ years of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and remain organized
• Ability to work within regular operating hours
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment
