Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Team Lead for a child care center in Chesapeake, VA. You will promote growth and manage classrooms while engaging families and mentoring new staff. This role emphasizes leadership and hands-on curriculum execution.

You will ensure daily care per licensing guidelines, with opportunities to grow into leadership positions and contribute to a positive learning environment for preschool children.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility and leading a classroom.
• College credits toward Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree or a CDA preferred.
• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage with children.

Responsibilities

• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care; lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Communicate and build relationships with families to promote achievement for the child and center success.
• Mentor and train new hires and fellow teachers, creating engaging learning experiences for preschoolers.
• Fulfill duties of Director or Assistant Director in the absence of leadership, including opening and closing the school.
• Ensure daily care of every child by following licensing guidelines and company standards.
