Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a Child Care Teacher for The Children's Learning Center in Wisconsin. The role supports the Director in curriculum planning and ensures activities align with the center’s philosophy while meeting the developmental needs of each child.

You will implement curricula, foster a positive learning environment, and communicate effectively with families and staff while upholding licensing and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meets requirements set by licensing regulations and accreditation criteria.
• Experience teaching in a child care center or nursery school preferred.
• Experience supervising others is plus.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in long-range planning for curriculum, philosophy and goals.
• Complete monthly, weekly, and daily curriculum plans and communicate them to staff.
• Implement curriculum to meet emotional, physical, intellectual, social and spiritual needs.
• Maintain a positive, respectful environment for every child.
• Adhere to program policies, health and safety regulations, and emergency procedures.
• Support volunteers with professional attitude and communication.
