Job description

As an on-call Substitute, you'll enjoy flexibility and may have the opportunity to work in different centers and with various age groups.

Hours of Center Operation

Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children
2. Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones
3. Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines

Qualifications:

Candidates must pass required background checks and meet minimum education and experience requirements:

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
• Preferred: 1 year experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings
• Required: Twelve semester units in Child Development, including core courses
• Preferred: Three units in Infant and Toddler Development
• Preferred: AA/BA in Early Childhood Education
• Transcripts required at interview

Compensation and Benefits:

The hourly rate ranges from $21.75 - $26.55. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance, disability insurance, and career development opportunities, including free college degrees through our Horizons CDA & Degree Program.
