Job summary

Signal Centers is seeking an experienced Director or Owner of a Child Care Center to lead and mentor new providers across Tennessee. The role requires travel throughout the region and engagement with DHS, CCR&R, and community partners to open and maintain small childcare businesses.

You will train and support directors, facilitate trainings, and promote best practices in small business development within the childcare sector, upholding Signal Centers’ values of respect, integrity, teamwork, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or closely related field.
• Two years minimum experience as a director or owner of a child care.
• Three-five years experience in this or related field.
• Must demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently.
• Systems thinker with collaborative approach.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance for frequent travel.

Responsibilities

• Research best practices in child care small business development.
• Facilitate Train the Trainer and Supplemental Trainings as requested.
• Train Network Management Staff and CCR&R staff.
• Train DHS staff and other CCDF partners.
• Attend CCR&R Partner Meetings.
• Network within the community to promote licensed childcare.
• Model integrity and professionalism and uphold network expectations.
• Commit to leadership development.
• Align with Signal Centers’ core values of respect, integrity, teamwork, innovation, and stewardship.
• Submit TA, TTA and training data within 3 days of service.
