Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is hiring for the 2026-2027 school year to support child care programs in Hatboro. The role requires a degree in education or human services and at least 2 years of verified child care experience, with readiness to obtain required clearances and trainings.

Qualifications

• Degree in an education or human services field from an accredited college or university.
• 2+ years verified child care experience (2500 hours).
• Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment.
• Ability to pass all relevant clearances and keep trainings up to date.

Responsibilities

• Find new and engaging ways to help kids learn while maintaining environments that build self-esteem.
• Plan and implement curriculum for the program with child-centered, developmentally appropriate experiences.
• Record weekly child observations and report any behavior or development concerns to parents/guardians.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding children's program experiences, progress, and confidentiality.
• Maintain daily attendance records, emergency contact binders, allergy reports, and related paperwork within timesheets and reports.
• Ensure centers have quality learning materials and are organized in labeled learning centers.
• Attend team-planning meetings monthly or more as needed.
• Campaign for the Annual Campaign and help develop donors and volunteers.
• Supervise all staff on site.
