Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Union, KY is seeking a School Age Teacher/PM Bus Driver to provide a safe, nurturing program for school-age children after school and on bus routes. You will collaborate with families and teachers to create engaging activities following NAEYC guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or CDA or Career Pathway Level 3 or Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 year of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and be able to provide a copy of a good driving record.
• Must be at least 25 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of school age children in one classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm and safe environment for growth and exploration.

What will you be doing?

As a School Age Teacher/PM Bus Driver, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to NAEYC guidelines. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of school age children in one assigned classroom.
• Creating developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
• Curating programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Partnering with families to create plans to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
• Transporting children to and from school in the afternoons.
• Obeying all traffic laws.
• Ensuring safety of all children.
• Assisting students with getting on and off the bus if required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field OR Child Development Associate (CDA) credential OR Career Pathway Level 3 required OR Bachelor's Degree in any field
• 1 year of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must have a valid Driver's License and be able to provide a copy of a good driving record
• Must be at least 25 years of age
• Ability to work within regular operating hours
• Must meet state criteria for childcare employment
