Job summary

Mountain Capital Partners, LLC seeks a Child Care Manager for Purgatory Resort to oversee reservations, licensing, budgeting, and staff supervision during the seasonal period. You will organize activities, ensure safety, and coordinate with Ski School leaders to support children and families.

The role requires leadership experience in child care, guest services, and training staff; 90% indoors and 10% outdoors in winter conditions. A season pass is included for you and your dependents.

Qualifications

• Group child care experience or leadership in a child care setting.
• Experience in guest services and teaching preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication with families.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all child care reservations.
• Manage licensing procedures as required by Colorado state law.
• Prepare and monitor quarterly budget for the department.
• Order and inventory snacks and supplies bi-weekly.
• Interview, hire, schedule, and review employees.
• Create and conduct trainings compliant with regulations.
• Assign daily tasks and supervise staff.
• Lead indoor and outdoor activities; maintain clean rooms.
• Coordinate with Ski School supervisors for child care needs.
• Develop and manage a summer camp offering.

Child Care ManagerGeneral Purpose:We are seeking a child care professional to ensure the safe and effective programming, maintain licensing, and supervise all aspects of the Child Care Center at Purgatory Resort. A successful employee will be able to communicate effectively with children, parents, and employees to guide staff and support relationships with families.This is a seasonal position from 11/1/26 to 4/15/26. Dates are subject to change based on the availability of the applicant and needs of the business. This role comes with a free season pass for you and your dependents. This position will remain open until filled.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Oversee all child care reservationsManage Child Care Licensing procedures as mandated by the state of ColoradoRegister with Colorado Shines Professional Development Information SystemComplete quarterly budget for the departmentOrder and inventory all snacks and supplies bi-weeklyInterview, hire, schedule, and conduct reviews of employeesCreate and conduct trainings with staff that are in compliance with state regulationsAssign daily work and tasks as neededOrganize and lead indoor and outdoor activitiesMaintain cleanliness of the child care roomsCollaborate with the 4-6 year old Ski School supervisors to best care for the children in our programsImplement and manage a summer camp offeringKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Proficient with managing labor and expense budgetsProficient in Google WorkspaceAbility to learn POS system with easeSelf motivatorProficient in effective management of people and tasksEducation and Experience:Group child care experience, background in guest services and teachingDay or overnight camp leadership experience1820 hours overnight camp leadership experience preferredCustomer service experience preferredWorking Environment/Physical Activities:90% of the workday is spent indoors in a child care setting. 10% of the time is spent outdoors (when snow-play is available) in cold and snow (hard shell jackets will be issued to each child care employee). Physical activities include:Frequent lifting/carrying children and belongingsOccasional pushing/pulling objects up to 25 poundsFrequently stooping, kneeling, reaching, crouching, and crawlingHoliday, evening and early morning work hours are required to meet the needs of this position.
