The Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential is hiring to oversee state licensing of child care organizations within a defined region. Responsibilities include inspections, investigations, and enforcement actions to ensure compliance with state standards.

Qualified candidates hold a master’s degree in a relevant field and have experience licensing child care facilities or related roles, with additional certifications and training as required by the Child Day Care

Qualificações

• Master's degree in child development, elementary education, early childhood education, guidance and counseling, or social work.
• Two years of professional, post-bachelor's degree experience licensing child day care homes or centers; or related licensing work.

Responsabilidades

• License child care organizations within a specified geographic area; conduct state licensing inspections and investigate complaints.
• Provide technical assistance, consult with applicants and licensees, initiate enforcement actions, and testify in hearings.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, fire safety inspectors, and protective services representatives.
