Job summary

HANG LO LLC in Michigan seeks an experienced Director of Child Care to lead program development, ensure child-centered activities, and support staff with scheduling and supplies.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a solid understanding of child development, and proven experience managing teams to grow outreach and maintain regulatory compliance across programs.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Background check and TB test may be required.
• TB test and background checks completed prior to employment.
• CDA or higher degree in education is preferred.
• Experience managing a team in an educational/childcare setting.
• Deep understanding of childcare and child development.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Build strong relationships with families, staff, and the community.
• Manage staff expectations, scheduling, and conflicts.
• Review printed materials, bulletins, and newsletters.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and fill in as needed.
