Position Details

• Location: Simsbury, CT
• Pay Range: $17.00 - $20.50 per hour
• Job Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks - 12 years in your assigned classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
• Develop programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment that promotes growth and exploration.
• Partner with families to create care and education plans tailored to each child's needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and needs.

Minimum Requirements

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, Child Development Associate (CDA), Head Teacher certification, 12 credits in ECE courses, or Bachelor's Degree.
• Preferred: 2+ years experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Availability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.
