Job summary

Learning Care Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Specialist (Child Care Cook) to plan and prepare nutritious meals for our school’s enrolled children.

You will adapt menus within budget, prepare meals and snacks for children and staff, and distribute food to classrooms according to established schedules. You'll follow USDA/licensing and health department regulations, maintain inventory, and assist in classrooms as needed to support the team.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for groups in a childcare setting.
• Willingness to follow all state and local regulations.
• Flexibility with hours and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritional meals within the school menu and budget.
• Prepare meals and snacks for children and staff and distribute to classrooms.
• Follow the daily menu per USDA/licensing/health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
