Job summary

Learning Care Group in Georgia is hiring a Food Specialist to prepare home‑style, nutritious meals for enrolled children within the school menu and budget, while meeting state and federal requirements. The role supports staff with meals and snacks and distributes food to classrooms.

You will follow the daily menu, uphold health and safety standards, maintain inventory, and order supplies as needed. Occasional classroom assistance may be required to support the team.

Qualifications

• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility (preferred).
• Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations.
• Flexibility as to hours and schedule of work.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritious meals within the school's menu and budget, distributing food to classrooms.
• Follow the daily menu provided by the Director which incorporates regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
