Job summary

King County's Child Care Health Program seeks a Quality Lead (Advanced Practice Nurse Specialist) to provide clinical leadership, ensure standards of practice, and drive improvements in child care health across Seattle and King County.

You will collaborate with Public Health Nurses, Mental Health, Nutrition, and Educator Consultants to advance equitable health outcomes for children and educators; travel to sites and develop training content and materials.

Qualifications

Washington State RN license in good standing.
BSN or MSN/DNP/PhD from an accredited nursing program.
Washington State Driver's License in good standing for in-person visits.
Current BLS-CPR for Healthcare Providers.
Advanced knowledge of early learning nursing practice and codes.
Experience in a multidisciplinary team with nurses, nutritionists, social workers.
Experience in clinical quality improvement.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical leadership and establish standards of practice for child care health.
Support program improvement with measures for outcomes and QA activities.
Develop onboarding materials and competency assessments for nursing staff.
Document standards and review site visit data to improve workflow.
Lead development of clinical content for health guidance and materials.
Lead training content for educators; align with equity principles.
Collaborate with Public Health Nurses and an interdisciplinary team.
Provide nursing consultation to staff and external partners.
Travel to early learning sites for observations and health events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
