Learning Care Group is seeking a Food Specialist to oversee meal preparation for children at our school. The role requires adapting menus, ensuring meals meet budget and regulatory standards, and supporting staff and classrooms as needed.

The position emphasizes health, safety, and organized kitchen operations, with opportunities for training and career growth within a supportive childcare environment.

Qualifications

• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations.
• Flexibility as to hours and schedule of work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and snacks for children and staff within the school’s menu and budget.
• Follow the daily menu and ensure compliance with USDA, licensing, and health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and reorder as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
