Job summary

The Learning Experience in Kings Park, NY is seeking an experienced Child Care Center Director to lead our licensed center. This hands-on leadership role focuses on developing teachers, building relationships with families, growing enrollment, and creating an exceptional environment for children and staff.

You will oversee daily operations, recruit and coach a strong teaching team, ensure licensing compliance, maintain curriculum quality, manage budgets, and support local marketing and family

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of childcare center management or people leadership experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• Must meet New York State requirements for the Center Director role.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Business, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of childcare licensing, health, safety, and classroom quality standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Must meet background screening, health, and training requirements.
